Our bi-monthly Parent forums are a non-judgemental space where parents can meet other parent carers, gain support and knowledge and have their voice heard on the planning and development of local services.

Our parent forums include:

  • Regular training sessions to help parents understand, support and advocate for their child. These have included sessions with specialists in areas such as Understanding the law, Safeguarding, Challenging Behaviour, Resilience and Epilepsy.
  • Consultations with the local authority, educational settings, health providers and other organisations to help evaluate and shape the development of services, ensuring they meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities and their families.
  • Fun days and trips for parent carers
