Full of Life – Working Together is Success – March 21st 10-2pm The Tabernacle 34-35 Powis Square, London W11 2AY

Over the past 10 months we have held a series of Focus Groups which cover the journey of raising a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.  These have covered Early Years, Mainstream and Special Schools, Health, Social Care, Short Breaks and Post 16. The sessions have involved parents and professionals discussing what works and what needs to change to enable a child with a disability or special educational needs to reach their full potential.

The Focus Groups also highlighted the expertise that parents have and how important it is that this is used to shape our local services, which is exactly why Full of Life was founded!

We have now developed a Focus Group Work Plan which we hope to work together to improve, shape and develop services that matter to our families.  In order to share this work with a wider community of parents we are delighted to invite you to our conference on the 21st of March from 10-2pm at the Tabernacle, 34-35 Powis Square, London W11 2AY, lunch will be provided.

Professionals from Education, Health and Social Care will give an update on their work based on the Focus Group Work Plans, linking this into what has been one of the most important pieces of legislation that affects our children in our lifetime The Children and Families Act 2014 and the changes this has brought about for us all locally.

The day will also give parents an opportunity to ask questions, make suggestions and ultimately help shape our work going forward.

We really hope that you can be with us on the day to help us to continue to shape and develop services for our children whatever their age, ensuring they are included and seen as valuable members of our Borough.  Please RSVP to [email protected]
