Full of Life's Resources and Mini Guides are available to download from the 'Resources to Download' tab below. These compact yet comprehensive resources and mini guides offer practical information on a range of services. This includes Special Educational Needs, Short Breaks and the up and coming changes to disability benefits. These have been developed with the parent carer in mind, which means that parents are kept fully informed about their services. We believe that an informed parent is an empowered parent.
We will be continually adding to this part of the site ensuring that our parent carers are up to date and well informed about the services that they use. Hard copies of these resources and mini guides will also be available to collect from the Full of Life office. New mini guides are also released quarterly with each new Full of Life newsletter, which are always available to download from the Newsletter tab on the website and hard copies can be collected from the Full of Life office.

Family Support Service offers independent advice and information on the following:
Communication passports were developed to enable staff to quickly understand the needs of disabled children. Parents and children can create them together, they can put as much or as little information as they wish. Families and staff have found them an extremely helpful and practical tool, enabling them to understand the needs of disabled children without having to ask questions over and over again!
Passports come as a pack and contain an A5 photo album two copies of 18 black and white inserts one is master copy so that parents can photocopy them if they need to. Inserts have been illustrated by Clare Mackie www.claremackie.com and they cover a wide variety of subjects such as Emergency Details, Personal Care, I Am Working On This! I Need Help With..., About My Family etc.
Some parents have two copies, one for play sites and another for respite provision. This enables parents to give tailored information to different services. 70 children in Kensington and Chelsea have received a communication passport and we are currently developing a version for adults with complex needs.
If you would like a communication passport please contact our information service on 05601 535 446 or email email@example.com
Our training booklets were produced to enable play staff who wanted to work with disabled children. They offer practical advice and information based on our experience as parents, and what we found worked for us. They help to break down people's fears and misconceptions about working with disabled children and their families.
Feedback from staff is that they can be used not just by play staff but by anyone working with disabled children regardless of the setting as the information is so practical.
