Full of Life All Ages (RBKC)
Full of Life is an independent self-help group managed by parents of children with disabilities in Kensington and Chelsea.
Full of Life offers free practical independent advice to parent carers through direct services.
This consists of bi-monthly parent forums, a family support service, advocacy for adult services, an Information Service and a Parent Partnership Service which deals with anything to do with special educational needs.
Full of Life also runs a centre for young adults with complex needs, operating 6 days a week with a focus on communication and personal development, new experiences and learning new skills.

Children With Disabilities Team 0-18 (RBKC)
Services are available to Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) residents who have a child aged 0 to 18 with a disability who is substantially affected in their everyday living by one or more of the following:
- Global developmental delay
- Physical impairment
- A profound sensory impairment
- A significantly disabling chronic ill health condition
- Severe communication or language disorder
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder with communication disorder and developmental delay
- Learning disability
- A serious life limiting or terminal illness
The team provides a full range of statutory social care services for disabled children, including child protection and looked after children in accordance with the Children Act 1989 The services provided are aimed towards normalising their lives and enabling them to do what other, non-disabled children can do without support and include:
- St Quintin Centre for Disabled Children and Young People
- One-to-one support at home
- After school club and/or holiday play scheme
- Saturday Care scheme
- Residential short breaks
- Direct Payment Scheme
- The Haven

Behaviour and Family Support Team (5-18) RBKC
The behaviour and family support team provide assessments, intervention work, consultations, support, counseling and practical advice for children with moderate to severe learning disabilities who have emotional, behavioural, mental health problems or complex needs. These services are also offered to their families and carers. The team also works with the Children with Disabilities Team. The team includes a consultant clinical psychologist, assistant psychologists, speech and language therapist and an occupational therapist. They can provide the following support:
- Behavioral management advice
- Family therapy
- Speech and language therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Counseling and support
- Liaison and consultation with other services involved
- Development of a care package
The service is mainly aimed at children between the ages of 5-18 however, if you feel your child, may require help in this area, please contact the team to discuss both you and your child's need. You can contact the team directly, by referral or through a professional

Citizen Advice Bureau (National)
The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

Many bureaux now have a short introductory interview to help decide how you can be best advised. You may then be asked to make an appointment. If the bureau is open only for appointments or specialist advice this will be indicated in the notes.

Family Friends (0-16) (RBKC, LBHF)
Family Friends is a registered charity set up in 1993 to support disadvantaged families. Through a network of trained volunteers they provide befriending and mentoring services.
Family Friends carefully recruits, trains and matches volunteers with parents, children or adolescents. Volunteers meet the family in their home, once a week for two hours. They offer long-term practical and emotional help based on each family's unique needs and potential. Volunteers pledge a year's commitment and Family Friends' staff back up their work with on-going supervision and family feedback interviews.

The National Autistic Society (NAS) is a charity for people affected by autism. Today they have over 18,000 members, 80 branches and provide a wide range of services throughout the UK. Parent to Parent Service
This service provides parents with the opportunity to speak to other parents who have a child on the autism spectrum. All volunteers are professionally trained and they all have personal experience of autism and want to do something to support others in a similar situation. Education Rights Service
The Education Rights Service provides impartial, confidential information, advice and support on education rights and entitlements for parents and carers of pre-school and school-age children with autism to help them get the educational support their child needs.

Action for Blind People (National)
Action for Blind People is a national charity that provides free and confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.
The team also has a number of specialists who provide outreach advice on employment, welfare rights and assistive technology.

Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)
The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is a national leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight loss. Their work helps anyone with a sight problem - not just with braille and Talking Books, but with imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges. People are still losing their sight unnecessarily. Their campaigns include the ability to eliminate avoidable sight loss and support research into the causes and latest treatments of eye conditions.
Afasic is a UK charity for children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. Their Advice and Information Services provide support to thousands of people every year, including free Helpline and email support, free to download factsheets and access to their local networks.
